Raised in New York City, and given her first camera at the age of eight, Didi has photographed throughout her life. Since relocating to New South Wales, Australia in March of 2001, she has been based from a small, coastal town. She has worked as a commercial photographers agent and studio manager, exhibited throughout the US, as well as mentored photo/media students, and taught workshops,.
D enjoys the adrenaline rush of candid photography, but creates distinctive portraits along with people-less, and landscape images too. She is most interested in framing what is extraordinary about the ordinary, discovering nuance, gesture; she notices our collective subconscious in the seeming quotidian, and commonplace. Didi is a co-founder of the AUSSIE STREET exhibition & competition.
